No conditioner on suede! The ruin! This sounds like a problem that I had in Wyoming few summers ago… a rat package delivered to a nest under the cover that was "protecting" my brand new saddle barrel…. The answer is water… that 's it no soap……… no conditioner. Just water. Use a brush metal battery / tire fregare gently for the area. This is the best way to clean the suede and leather, roughout…. This is the only way I clean the roughout / suede on my saddle when gets dirty…. When it begins to seem smooth ground dirt… when drying that seems great! I 'the VE has had 5 years and it seems brand new
